Lan Airlines is definitely one of my favorite airlines. Each time I have flown Lan it has  been in the coach section, but they have always made me feel like I was in first class.

I  remember one time stretching my arms while in flight and almost immediately two attendants arrived at my seat asking if I needed a pillow, blanket, etc. and if I was comfortable. On some of the flights there was more than sufficient room to either change seats as desired, (without any hassles) or stretch out in two or three seats in the large middle section, and take a nap if desired. I love their wide body planes with the double aisles so that if the attendant is going down one aisle with drinks, food, etc. and you need to go to the restrooom or just stretch your legs, another aisle is available. And speaking of the food, it is incredible. The first time I flew Lan, I was served  a chicken meal complete with new potatoes, a roll, banana pudding, water and a complimentary  glass of Chilean wine. The food was delicious and I thought that they must have made a mistake;after all I was just in coach; I could only guess what the first class passengers were having for dinner. 

The flight attendants are always polite, very helpful, the planes are clean and their fares are reasonable. With a few exceptions, they depart exactly on time, arrive on time, and they don't lose your baggage; they have pilots who land and take off with an ease one has to admire. In other words, they are an efficient airline.
